NEVADA – Members from four Nevada Wing squadrons as well as wing headquarters assisted during the dedication ceremony Aug. 6 for the $600 million Veterans Affairs Medical Center in North Las Vegas.
Along with Maj. Carol Lynn, the wing’s chief of staff, 21 officers and cadets from the Henderson, Las Vegas and Nellis composite squadrons and the Jim Bridger School Cadet Squadron provided seating assistance to veterans, their families and friends and also helped out with distribution of refreshments.
U.S. Secretary of Veterans Affairs Eric K. Shinseki was the keynote speaker for the event. U.S. Sens. Dean Heller and Harry Reid U.S. Rep. Shelley Berkeley were among the dignitaries also speaking.
