ARKANSAS—The 115th Composite Squadron has received a $750 donation  from the Military Order of the Purple Heart’s local chapter after assisting the veterans organization  with its national convention in Rogers in August.

Dr. Jesse Cocker of Chapter 633 presented the check — designated for the squadron’s cadet program — to Maj. John McDaniel, commander  of the 115th.

Cadets from the squadron welcomed participants in the 2009 convention as they arrived at Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport in Bentonville.

The Military Order of the Purple Heart is composed of servicemen and -women who received the Purple Heart for wounds suffered in combat.
