FLORIDA -- Gov. Charlie Crist announced Tuesday that Florida is taking additional proactive measures to ensure the quick and timely discovery of oil from the Deepwater Horizon spill. Reconnaissance missions are being coordinated daily, he said, through state agencies, Civil Air Patrol and the National Guard.
