Civil Air Patrol looking for members who served during World War II

NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS – Civil Air Patrol is interested in locating those who served as volunteers in its organization during World War II, Dec. 7, 1941, through Aug. 15, 1945, and who were at least 18 years old during at least part of that service.

The request is made in anticipation of pending Congressional legislation that would honor those CAP members meeting this criteria.Those considered need not be alive today or be current CAP members.

Names and contact information should be e-mailed to
paa@capnhq.gov or sent to Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs, 105 S. Hansell St., Maxwell AFB, AL 36112. In the case of deceased members, their names and the name of a close relative or friend, with contact information, should be sent. Those who qualify may be asked to submit substantiation of their CAP service, such as tangible items that could verify service during this period, such as a published news article, CAP identification card or certificate of membership.
