Texas Civil Air Patrol gives a heads-up on weekend training

March 19, 2010

TEXAS -- Residents of Houston will see red, white and blue Civil Air Patrol planes in the skies above their city this weekend. CAP's Texas Wing will train about 30 members with a series of simulated emergency search-and-rescue and disaster-relief scenarios, based out of the West Houston Airport. The group provided support during Hurricane Ike and will be practicing similar exercises, starting today and running through the weekend.
