As a lieutenant colonel in Civil Air Patrol and the commander of the Georgia Wing Legislative Squadron, Barry Loudermilk organized Civil Air Patrol Day at the Capitol 2010. A Republican from Cartersville, Rep. Loudermilk and his entire family are active in CAP. He and his wife, Desiree, plus their three college-age children -- Travis, Christina and Michael, are all members of Georgia Wing's Rome Composite Squadron. As part of Loudermilk's recognition of CAP and its services, Georgia Wing Commander Col. Tonya Boylan was invited to address the members of the state's House of Representatives.
