Former N.J. cadet killed in Afghanistan

NEW JERSEY -- Army Sec. Michael Scusa, a former Cape May Composite Squadron cadet, was one of eight soldiers killed in Afghanistan when insurgents assaulted outposts near the Pakistan border Oct. 3, the “Press of Atlantic City” reports. Scusa was serving his second tour of duty, having previously been deployed to Iraq.
