WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Two former Civil Air Patrol volunteers -- Joan Trebtoske Jenks and Jane Doyle -- are among the more than 1,000 members of the Women Airforce Service Pilots, or WASP, being honored today with the Congressional Gold Medal for their military service during World War II. Jenks, a native of Minnesota who flew with CAP's Florida Wing after the war, is being honored posthumously. Doyle, who flew with CAP while a student at the University of Michigan, will attend today's ceremony in the nation's capital.
