16 cadets from same CAP squadron earn President's Volunteer Service Award

CALIFORNIA -- Sixteen Civil Air Patrol cadets from California Wing's Palm Springs (Calif.) Composite Squadron 11 recently were honored with the President's Volunteer Service Award, a national award issued by the President's Council on Service and Civic Participation. Award levels -- bronze, silver and gold -- were based on age and the number of hours volunteered. Thirteen of the 16 cadets recognized were Gold Award recipients.
