‘Scouts on steroids’: Pastor finds unique purpose in CAP

    January 6, 2017

“The cadet program is like Scouts on steroids,” says Richard Chronis, pastor of Braham (Minn.) Evangelical Lutheran Church and captain in Civil Air Patrol. Chronis has been a chaplain with CAP since July 2013 and volunteers his time at the Anoka Composite Squadron in Blaine to teach cadets, ages 12-20, the four core values of CAP: Integrity, Volunteer service, Excellence and Respect (IVER). Learn more about Chaplain Chronis and the local cadet program in Lori Zabel’s article published in the Isanti-Chisago County Star.
