Like her 96-year-old sister, Minn. woman to be honored for WWII service

    January 7, 2016

MINNESOTA – A 93-year-old woman from Faribault is ready to be honored for her service to her country. On Friday, Cece Bell will be rewarded for her service in Civil Air Patrol during World War II. She will receive a replica of the Congressional Gold Medal, presented to CAP on behalf of its WWII members. The medal is similar to the one received by her 96-year-old sister, Liz Strohfus, who served with CAP and the Women Airforce Service Pilots during the war. Fox 9’s Karen Scullin tells the sisters' story in this video report.
