Body of missing Velcro Pygmies bassist recovered

    March 16, 2016

ALABAMA -- Crews searching the Tennessee River for the bodies of two missing fishermen recovered the body of 24-year-old Jacob Sanders — bassist in the band Velcro Pygmies — Tuesday morning near Florence. Alabama Law Enforcement Agency Spokesman Jonathan Appling said Sanders' body was recovered from Pickwick Lake not far from Pride Landing. He and his brother, 29-year-old Jeremiah Sanders, were reported missing March 2 after failing to return from a fishing trip. Appling thanked the agencies participating in the search, which included Civil Air Patrol. He said CAP flew again on Tuesday afternoon as the search resumes for Jeremiah Sanders.
